Internet
Wonderful Day - we finally got the internet! Well, we don't have it yet, but we ordered it and it should be here by Tuesday. I have fun stuff I want to post, but I never get a chance. Having the internet at our house will make blogging so much easier. So tune in next week and hopefully I will have made a new post from the comforts of my own home.

The Reception
Our reception was at the center church in Plain City. I thought the decorations and everything turned out really pretty for being in a church. I was way happy.
All our nieces and nephews.

Maddi
I loved this picture of Max and Mason with their Grandpa.
Matt and Melanie
Me and Abby
Jed, Ben & Gage
What is the purpose of buying a super expensive cake just to take one bite of it? I loved my cake and it was really pretty, but I don't think I completely understand that tradition. I was just very glad Matt didn't shove it in my face, I warned him not to, good thing he listens!
I loved the whole day, but it was exhausting. The reception didn't seem as long as some people made them sound. I really enjoyed it, but I was very glad to be walking out the door that night. The Big Day
So, after a long nine weeks of planning it was finally here . . . March 26th. We were sealed in the Ogden temple on the coldest day ever. The week before our wedding it was in the 70's then the morning of it decided to snow. By the time pictures were over I was not so happy. I was basically completely red because of how cold I was. It was well worth it after the fact though. These are some of the snapshots from the temple.
I'm not a fan of this pose, but it is the only one I have of us coming out of the temple.

Bridals
I think this day might have been one of my favorite days of preparing for the wedding. Faye Crowther and Kaedell Ellis went up to the state capitol to take my bridals. It was nice to have them do it because I have all the photos they took on cds. Kaedell was snapping shots the whole time Faye was positioning me and taking the pictures, so I have a ton, and I love them. All of these ones are from Faye.

This was probably my favorite of all of them. I had this one displayed as an 11x14 at our reception.

The capitol was such a pretty place to have my bridals done. There was only one other bride that was finishing up as we were starting. There were people walking around we had to watch out for, but the background is so pretty.
This one is by Kaedell. I love how well you can see my ring.

Engaged!!!
Matt and I got engaged on January 11, 2009. He came over after dinner and was a little uneasy. I didn't notice it at all, but most of my family commented on it, after the fact. He had a couple of ideas to do it with my family over, but then decided against it. We went for a drive up to Logan, which wasn't unusual so I still didn't think anything of it. We drove forever and almost ran out of gas, he basically coasted into a gas station. Then he kept driving for what seemed like forever. He drove around the temple like four times. He would stop and then drive around again, then stop. How I don't know, but I still had no clue what was going on. All I knew is that I was getting car sick and really didn't want to drive anymore. He suggested going to Michelle's house to say hi. On the way he just pulled over to the side of the road. "Can you tell I'm nervous?" "Not really, are you?" "Well, I've been wanting to ask you . . ." Then he opened the glove box and I saw the ring box. This was totally unexpected to me because I thought we were still were going ring shopping that week. I was so excited, I freaked out. I started screaming as he asked me to marry him. According to him I didn't even answer, but I'm pretty sure I said yes. We were about two minutes from Michelle's house, so she was the first to know. These are the pictures she took right after it happend.
Falling in Love
I loved Shawnee's idea of starting her blog with when her and Austin started dating. I hope you don't mind, but I am going to go back and do the same. Matt and I went on our first date in June of 2008 and our second date was the very end of August when I finally asked him out. These are a few of my favorite pictures from when we were dating.

Matt easily won Gage over. He has been Matt's biggest fan ever since we started dating. I love this picture of Matt, too bad I don't look a little more attractive!
Pretty typical for us that I am in my big coat and he is just in a t-shirt.
Our size difference is slightly noticable in this picture, don't you think?
We didn't have a ton of pictures when we started making our wedding video, so my mom would just snap random pics as we were leaving or while we were just doing nothing.
For Valentines Day, we were actually already engaged here, we just stayed at my house. I made him a nice dinner, probably the nicest he's ever had from me even though we've been married over four months.

Brit
Brit is the newest addition to our family. Steph and Joe sold their house and moved into a rental about two months ago. They are not allowed to have pets, so they gave Brit to me and Matt.
When we first got her I was really good at taking care of her since I was the one who decided to take her, but now she is definitely Matt's dog. He takes full responsibility of Brit and is much better at playing with her than I am, I am still slightly leary of having her lick me. So, besides the two times she got lost and my neighbor had to bring her back (and we've only had her two months!) she really is fun to have.
