Skiing

Yesterday was the kids last day out on the boat this year since school starts next week. My dad brought out some new skis that he bought for the kids to try. Maggie got up on her first try and did awesome! Kent got up for a couple seconds on his first try and then face planted on his next try and was done. Jed was so helpful to just hang out in the water and help them get started. They both did awesome though. It was fun to see them do things other than just the tube.

Hurricane Jenkins Vacation

The Jenkins vacation was a rental property in Hurricane. It was an amazing property with a pretty amazing pool. The whole weekend was just swimming in the pool. It had two waterslides and three different levels of cliff jumping. The kids liked the hot tub a lot too. It also had a putting green and a pickleball court, but it was so hot that those didn't get used too much. I am not sure I have really ever swam so much in one weekend, but it was so fun. Claire wasn't loving it the first couple of days. The pool wasn't heated so it was a little chilly when you first got in. The last night though her and Jack were so cute swimming and jumping all over the place. She loved it! Kent was the craziest in the water. He went nonstop. Maggie was super brave and went off the high dive a few times.  I couldn't do anything except swim, but it was still so fun. There were a few tubes that made it so relaxing. One of my favorite parts was when the only people in the pool were Kent and Mark and they played together for at least a half hour. It was so cute to see Kent spend time with just him and Grandpa. Overall it was a pretty awesome vacation and a perfect ending to summer.

Matt did take two little adventures to Toquerville Falls and the Dixie Crack. It was 109 degrees when we went to the crack so it was definitely a short little adventure. Claire and Kent were both asleep so I sat in the car and waited for everyone. Only the kids were able to fit through anyway. Maggie loved Toquerville because there was water to play in. Matt did break of the running board on his dad's truck which was a bummer.

Kanarraville Falls

Last Tuesday after Matt got off work we headed down to Cedar City for Matt's family vacation. We got to the hotel in Cedar at about 10 and went to sleep. The next morning we hiked Kanarraville Falls. It was such an amazing hike. Everyone hiked with us except Marianne. The ladder was a little scary, but everyone did awesome on it.  Kent jumped in at the waterslide and then on the way back he was freezing. Mylie told him vampire stories to get him to the end. My other kids I wasn't even with because they were so much faster. We had to walk through the river a ton and I was slow trying to keep my balance on all of it.
