Dentist office field trip

Miss Helen's Preschool went to Mountain View Dental for a field trip on Wednesday. It was a super cute field trip. They talked about why to brush, how to brush your teeth and not eating too much sugar. Then they brought the kids back to the office and they got to sit it the chair while they moved it up and back. The hygienist showed them the toothbrush they use to clean their teeth and let them all touch it. They each got to squirt water and clean it up with the "vacuum tool." It really was a cute way to make the dentist office fun.
I let Kent be right up with all the field trip kids. He loved it. But when the hygienist was giving all the kids toothbrush goodie bags I told him he couldn't have one, I figured that was just for the kids that the field trip was for. He started bawling.  The sweet lady gave him a bag and then let Kent be her helper to give all the moms a bag with a toothbrush in it too.

Snowmen

For Christmas my parents gave my kids a wallet with money in it. I have been telling them that I would take them to the store to buy something since then and we just barely got around to it. We went one night, but we were in to big of a hurry, and it takes a long time for them to decide what they want. So I took them again and Maggie was able to browse the entire toy department until she decided on a snowman princess kit. She was so excited! It came with the stuff to make a princess and to color the snow. As soon as we got home we all went outside and made snowmen. This is Maggie's princess.
I had helped each of my kids make a snowman and was ready to head inside, but Corbin and Maggie really wanted to make a snowman for Emmett too, since he is part of our family. So we made one small snowman for Emmett and even put a little halo on it. I love that my kids feel like Emmett is such a part of our family still, even if he isn't physically present in all we do.

Treehouse

Maggie had a preschool field trip to the treehouse last week. She was so excited because it has been a while since we have been there. She was part of the little play they did at the first, which was a story I had never heard before, but she thought it was really funny. Then she and Maybree ran around together trying to fit as much in as they could in the short amount of time we were there.
Because we haven't been there for so long, Kent didn't even remember the treehouse. Everything was brand new and so exciting. He would just run from one thing to the next, I couldn't keep up. We didn't get to see everything because it was only an hour of free time, but he absolutely loved everything we did see. It might be time to get a membership again.
