Water Slide

My parents rented a water slide to put in their back yard yesterday. The kids had so much fun on it. They played pretty much all day. We were there from before ten until six at night. I was a little sad I couldn't use it. Luckily the pool was out so I could cool off in it. Although I always got in when it was empty and then within minutes it was completely full of kids.
Kent loved the big boys, they were so cute with him.

It was quite the ordeal for Kent to pull himself up. It usually took a couple minutes and some prodding from behind.

Maggie only liked the slide when it was free from the big boys. They were way too wild for her. She would scream every time she got on it unless she had it to herself.

Kent missed three hours of fun during his nap, but he enjoyed it the rest of the time.
These kiddos spent some of the afternoon polishing rocks.
Kent could have kept going all afternoon. Once he woke up he couldn't be stopped until they finally took it down. The adults were done long before the kids would have stopped.
Such a fun day! My kids have the best grandparents ever!

Fourth of July

We had such a great fourth of July this year! We spent Sunday night doing fireworks at Mark and Marianne's house. My kids loved the sparklers, until Maggie stepped on one, then she didn't like them quite as much.

Kent was hilarious watching the fireworks. He loved them! He would plug his ears and then clap when they were over. He would cheer on whoever was lighting them too. Still every time we pass a firework stand he yells "Firework Store!" He just keeps asking for more.
Matt, Maggie and Corbin slept at the Jenkins', but Kent and I headed over to my mom's in order to get a little more sleep than the rest of the bunch. It worked, but it was still a late night and early morning. It's all part of the fun!
We enjoyed the parade by my parents house, but both our families were pretty much together.
I absolutely love how much this boy adores his grandpa's, both of them!
We took our kids to the Plain City square for a few games, but it was crazy busy. They really wanted to get their hair painted, like previous years, but I couldn't stand the wait. I still owe them a can of hair paint.
After maybe a half hour, I was way too hot to wait in any lines and Kent was beyond ready for a nap. We headed back to my parent's to cool off in the pool.
By the end of the day, my kids were beat. We left my parents at 6:30 and they were both fast asleep within minutes. Kent had a four hour nap so he was a little night owl with Matt and I, but it was a day well spent.

Lost Tooth

Corbin lost his first tooth this week. He has had both of his bottom permanent teeth growing in for a couple months now. We have been wiggling his baby teeth like crazy so they don't have to get pulled. He was thrilled when he pulled one out. Dad was out of town, but Corbin didn't want to wait to put it under his pillow.
That nice tooth fairy even left him $5!

Swimming

Matt has been working a ton lately. He had been really busy at work and had way too many days of in June for family vacations and Young Mens. So we have spent a few saturdays without him. We needed something to pass the day away and the pool was just the thing. My kids played for a solid five hours in our backyard. I sat in the shade and watched their tricks and games almost the whole time. It was a great summer day.
This boy is seriously a fish! He slept during most of the fun, but he didn't want to be left out. Sadly my kids were done swimming by the time he woke up, but that didn't slow him down. He could swim everyday!
