Kent's Birthday

Wednesday was Kent's sixth birthday! He opened his presents right when he woke up. He got a Ninjago Lego set he has been wanting and a marble run. He hasn't touched the marble run yet, but everyone else has played with it a ton. He worked on his legos most of the day.
One huge highlight of the day was when his amazing Kindergarten teacher dropped off Kent's birthday crown and treat at our doorstep. The day I told Kent school was cancelled for the year he was crying forever because he was sad he wouldn't get his pixie stix for his birthday. Luckily, he was still able to get one.
My parents came over that night and gave him a laser tag game. The night of his birthday it didn't go well because he was so sad, but it also has been a favorite of everyone so far.
Sunday night we celebrated at Marianne's. I was super embarrassed at first because Kent got a whole bunch of super nice clothes and he was so mad about it. It was all he could do not to cry because he was so sad it was just clothes. After he opened those Matt brought in a sweet bike that was his main gift and he was much happier.

Spring pictures

I had my friend Jami take my kids spring pictures a few weeks ago. I am so happy with how they turned out! My kids are getting old. I had her do a few in Maggie's baptism dress just so I had some decent ones.

Maggie's Baptism

Maggie was baptized on April 18th. It was definitely unique, but I really enjoyed it. Because of the stay home order, we were only able to have 10 people attend. We wanted the grandparents all to be able to come so we opted to leave Claire with Aunt Meri.
We were able to do a Zoom meeting so the rest of our families were able to watch it on the computer. She was the first one of the day and was pleasantly surprised at how warm the water in the font was. We only had an opening song (which I played the piano very poorly for) an opening prayer, and the ordinances. Matt baptized her with her grandpa's as witnesses. Matt also confirmed her with our bishop and the two grandpas in the circle. It was actually kind of nice to be so low key.
Afterwards we invited everyone up to see Maggie and get a doughnut. We were all outside the entire time. It may not have been completely okay as far as the rules go, but it was really fun. It made Maggie feel special for sure.
