Easter Morning

Easter morning is pretty uneventful after Saturday, but that's just how I like it. When both our kids woke up they got to find their Easter basket. It was nice to have Matt home until after they found their baskets.
It was super simple, but they each got a church outfit, coloring book, and one thing of cookies.
They both looked so darling in their new church clothes.
We headed off to church and had a miserable Sacrament Meeting. I didn't hear a single talk. We spent the entire time out in the hall with me just watching them run wild down the hall because I couldn't bring myself to chase them, and it only makes it worse.I love that we are the only ward in the building at 9 am. They rest of the day was just a normal Sunday afternoon waiting for dad and eating at Grandma and Grandpas.

Davis Easter Party

After we went home and cleaned up we headed out to my parents for their Easter festivities. We had this darling chick pinata.
Then they each got to find their Easter bag.
 They loved their little prizes.

They both got new pjs in their bag. We suited them up and after this fun, busy day, we took our tired kids home and went straight to bed.

Antelope Island

Antelope Island is my favorite Jenkins tradition. The Saturday before Easter all the Jenkins head out to Antelope Island for a dutch oven lunch. This year the bugs were so terrible! It made it a little less fun than usual, but still great.
The kids went on a walk down to the shoreline with Matt and Mike. Corbin and Makenna came back with dinosaur bones. Corbin's was so disgusting and he carried it around all afternoon.
We tried to fly kites, but there wasn't enough wind. Maggie had fun for the whole two minutes that Matt tried to get her's in the air.
The Easter egg hunt is always the highlight. With 26 eggs each it keeps them busy for a few minutes.
By the end my kids were done. Corbin was crying because he didn't want to eat any lunch. Then because the bugs were getting him. Maggie may have had a little heat exhaustion because her face was so red. She was asleep within minutes of us starting to drive home. It was a good time head home.

Easter Eggs

Last night we colored Easter eggs for Family Home Evening. Corbin was so excited. Maggie was too, but I don't think she really knew what we were doing with all the colored water.
Maggie had fun for the first ten minutes or so and then she was done. I didn't realize how messy coloring eggs with kids is. They would just plop their eggs in the water so it would splash all over.
Her hands were a mess! They are still stained a light red today.
Corbin loved every second of it. He spent so much time on each egg. Every egg he did needed two or three colors to make it extra pretty.
I wanted to get a picture of both the kids with their eggs all done, but Maggie and Matt had turned on Jungle Book, a family favorite right now, so picture taking was out of the question.

Maggie Pie is TWO!

Maggie's birthday was on Conference Sunday so she got to enjoy having her dad home all day. We did our presents to her before Conference started. Then Matt took the kids for a ride to look for bears in the mountains. It is easier to listen to Conference when they are strapped into the car. I stayed home to make Maggie's birthday cupcakes and enjoy listening to conference without kids.
After Conference we went to my parents for Maggie to open her presents from them. She got so many fun new toys. Corbin had a hard time with her presents. Luckily, my mom had some silly putty for the birthday brother. He was a happy camper the rest of the night.
We then went to Matt's parents house for dinner and more presents. This was one spoiled birthday girl. We sang to her and did birthday cake while we were with everyone at the Jenkins.
I absolutely love this two year old! She has such an attitude, but is so fun to be around! She can't say much for being two, but she has a way of getting her point across just fine.
