Petting Zoo

I took the kids to my parents ward party the other night. It was so cute! They had a petting zoo, wagon rides, bounce houses, and dinner. Matt was working late so it was great to have something to do. Shannon brought Kael over and Erin and her kids came over too. My kids loved the bounce houses, especially Kent. He was wild! Corbin really loved the animals. Maggie loved it all, but I didn't get a picture of her.

Disney World - Day Eight

And we finally made it to day eight. This was Kent's third birthday. Matt bought him a semi truck the night before so we would have a present for him. It was a pretty overshadowed birthday since we were in Disney World, busy most of the time.
I was ready to leave right when I woke up this morning, but our flight wasn't until 7:00 pm. Maggie and Kent were having a really rough morning so Corbin went with Meredith's family to Hollywood studios. We had to check out of our hotel before we left. So we cleaned up and brought all our luggage to the front desk then we made it to the park about 11:00. Hollywood studios doesn't have hardly anything for kids. We met some characters and then met up with part of Matt's family.
Matt and I were able to go on Tower of Terror together while his parents watched our kids. I was clinging to Matt the whole time.
When we finished the ride we found our kids with their faces painted. Maggie was the ice princess, very fitting. She was super happy about it at first, but really it was a rough day. Marianne said Kent insisted on a pirate, and Corbin was Flash.

We met up with everyone for lunch at the Sci-Fi Diner. It was a cute restaraunt, the tables were inside cute old cars. While we were waiting to be seated Chip and Dale came over so we were at the front of the line to meet them.
The whole eight days this is the only picture we got with all 24 people. Luckily we did it before we ate because it was a complete downpour on the way out of the park.
We left right after lunch to go back to the hotel. We were completely soaked. We loaded the magical express and headed back the airport. Our flight was delayed one hour so we just sat around for over two hours waiting. Kent was super good, he loved to watch the airplanes take off. The other kids just loaded up on sugar, played cards, and watched movies. Once we were on the plane for a bit Kent and Maggie fell asleep and Corbin just watched the TV the whole flight. We got into Salt Lake about 11:30. We had to shuttle to Park 'n Jet and then we headed home. Maggie woke up so sick and threw up because of all the candy she had eaten, and the fact that we didn't feed her dinner at the airport. We got home about 12:30. I knew we would have no groceries and really wanted to stop and get some. Luckily I didn't because my amazing mom had stocked my fridge and mowed my lawn before we got home! I was so happy to be home.
It was seriously such an amazing vacation. Matt and I could never do that scale of vacation for our kids.

Disney World - Day Seven

Friday we went to a character breakfast at 9:00 am, which on this vacation was super early. When we first got to the Grand Floridian Hotel I was a little concerned that we were bringing so many children to the restaurant, but it turned out to be a normal kid friendly character dine.
We met a ton of fun characters, and the buffet was delicious. My kids liked the gummy bears the best. I'm still not sure why the buffet had gummy bears, but they were a hit.

On the way out we were able to jump with Tigger for a minute.
After breakfast we went to Blizzard Beach. When we first walked in they had sidewalk chalk and the kids traced their foot and put their name in it. Maggie's was still there on the way out.
I have no pictures of this again because we were playing in the water. I did get one of my boys trying to catch a lizard.
This park had some way fun things, but I didn't love this day. I was tired from the day before and we were on day seven of our vacation, which was just a little too long for me. My kids did love the zip line that dropped you in the water and the ice floes that you tried to cross with pool on. This night we went back to the hotel pretty early. Kent went to bed and Corbin and Maggie went to watch Moana outside by our hotel.

Disney World - Day Six

Thursday morning we were able to sleep in a little while because we had no where to be until 11:30. It was super nice. When we got up and going we headed to Disney Springs so the girls could go to Bibbidi Bobbity Boutique. Before they let them in the fair godmothers in training made sure the girls hair was princess ready, which was a lice check in a private room. Once we passed each of the girls got seated with their own fairy godmother in training to get their hair, nails, and makeup done.
Maggie was a little sad at first because the lady wasn't super soft and Maggie hates getting her hair done. Once her hair was pulled back she was super excited. She chose a Cinderella bun for her style.
Everything that was used on them they got to bring home in a super cute cinch bag, makeup, comb, tiara, nail polish, and they threw in some shampoo. She still has glitter in her hair a week later though. Our princesses looked beautiful!
While Maggie and I were getting her hair done, Matt and the boys were shopping in Downtown Disney. They went to the Lego store and took some fun pictures with the people made of Legos. Kent found some tractor legos that he bought. It was so fun to have gift cards from Mark and Marianne and my mom gave each of us money to spend. So they were each able to buy a few souvenirs and I didn't have to spend anything. Michelle and I were talking about how fun this trip was because I got to be the "Yes" mom. So much of what they asked for I was able to say yes to, which never happens at home!

The rest of the day we spent in Magic Kingdom again. We went to dinner at O'hanas which everyone else did last time but we had already left. It had been talked up so much and it was my least favorite dinner by far. After dinner Matt and Kent went back to the hotel. Corbin, Maggie, Michelle, Melissa, and me went to Magic Kingdom to ride Splash Mountain. There was a show going on again this night so we were able to ride four rides in one hour and catch the end of the show as we were walking out. It was so fun to stay late to ride extra rides with them, but we were much too tired the next day.

Disney World - Day Five

Day five was in Epcot. There was a lot more to do in this park than I thought from last time. We met up with a lot of Characters. I liked meeting the characters because they were usually in air conditioned buildings. Kent hated waiting in the lines, he was getting really sick of them. By this time we had seen Mickey and Minnie so many times they weren't too interested. Corbin and Maggie had bought autograph books for all the characters. We left them at the hotel a couple of the days, but they were able to get a lot of signatures.
Each Country that is represented at the park is cool to walk through. Not really for the kids, but I liked what I saw. We walked through Norway and somehow missed this Giant troll that Corbin and Matt found.
Epcot had spring botanical gardens everywhere throughout the park. They had characters and other designs. My kids for some reason really loved the butterfly exhibit. This day was hot, like 96 degrees. All three of my kids wanted to be in the stroller because they were sick of walking in the heat. Corbin and Maggie both chose to buy sunglasses with their souvenir money, Avengers and Frozen. Corbin was super pleased with his purchase. I think this picture is about the only time Maggie wore hers.
For Dinner we went to Japan and ate at Tepan Edo, a Japanese restaurant where they cook your food in front of you. Our chef was fun, my kids enjoyed watching him, but Corbin didn't like the food.

After dinner we went back to the resort and the kids swam. I was just the photographer, I was too tired to swim, mainly to have to shower and wash my hair after swimming.

Disney World - Day Four

Day four was a water park, Typhoon Lagoon. I think overall this was my favorite day. We didn't get very many pictures because we were in the water the whole time. This park had the best wave pool. Corbin and I could have spent all day here. There kid area was super great too and Kent easily could have stayed there, really Maggie loved the kid area too. Corbin stayed with the older group for a lot of the day.

This night dinner was at Akershaus, Aurora's castle. It was a Character dinner with almost all the princesses. Maggie loved it, and so did Kent. I think Corbin enjoyed it too, but didn't really want to admit. We met Belle on our way in, which totally threw me off. We were at Aurora's castle so I was totally prepping Maggie that she was about to meet her very favorite princess, then we walked in and it was Belle. She was cool too though.

Dinner was in Epcot and we hadn't been to that park yet. We headed over to the aquarium, which was our favorite part of Epcot last time. There was a huge show going on so we were almost the only ones there. There were only five kids when we did Turtle Talk with Crush, which is so cute! My kids loved it, especially Kent. Corbin really enjoyed the aquarium. I love his love of animals right now.

By the end of this day, we were exhausted!
