Thanksgiving

We were with the Thompson family for Thanksgiving this year. My kids really enjoyed it.  Corbin and Corinne were inseparable from the time they first saw each other. They ran to each other with open arms and embraced like they hadn't seen each other for years instead of four days. It was actually adorable. The craft my mom brought was a hit, everyone loved making a Christmas wreath.
Kent came late to Thanksgiving, so we wouldn't miss his afternoon nap. He started out happy, but he was a grump by the end of the day for sure. He loved his prize though, a glow wand sure made his day.
I love my family so much! These cute kiddos are my everything! And their daddy, but we didn't get a great family picture.
I am so grateful for my wonderful sisters and my amazing parents too! I am so blessed!

Halloween

I loved that Halloween was on a Saturday this year. We fit so much into our day, and had so much fun! The night before Halloween Malcolm and Ellie had all the grandkids sleepover at their house for a fun Halloween party. My kids were so excited and had so much fun.
The morning of Halloween after our kids got home, we got ready for the day and went to Lee's spook alley first. Maggie was pretty scared of some of the zombies, but after much reinforcement from me and Corbin she loved it. They both thought it was way fun.
After Kent woke up from his nap we went out to Marianne's for chili and scones. We were able to keep the kids home until 5:00 and then they all went trick or treating to all the Jenkins' families. After about a half hour we all went home to do our own thing this year.
We went to my mom's and to Shannon and Jed's,  and then we headed home to trick or treat in our neighborhood. Our kids loved trick or treating this year. Matt pulled Kent in the wagon the whole time and my kids were totally into it. They were completely done by 7:00 and thought they had the best Halloween night ever. I even let them have a late night playing in the basement making creations in their kitchen with their candy.
Corbin was a ninja again this year, but with a different costume than last year. I wanted him to be something else, but as soon as he heard Kael was a ninja, they had to be a ninja team.
Maggie was a nice witch, and you have to have nice in the title (or good.)
Kent was a cow, which was perfect because he would moo at everyone.
Definitely our best Halloween so far. Holidays with kids are hard and sometimes crazy and exhausting, but they are the best! My kids had such a great day.

Pumpkin Carving

Monday night for Family Home Evening we carved our pumpkins that Grandma bought us. My kids were so scared to put their hands in the pumpkins. I made Maggie pose for a picture and this is as close as she would get.
Finally after a few minutes of Matt and I cleaning them out they got a little bit more brave. They pulled the last few seeds out on their own.
Fun family night. Corbin is posing with his scariest Halloween face.
