Claire's one year pictures

 Claire turns one on the 29th of January. I had her pictures taken a little before her birthday. I can't ever get enough of how cute she is!

Bear Lake

The kids didn't have school last weekend because it was the end of the quarter. We took advantage of the day off and headed up to Bear Lake with Austin and Shawnee. We left Thursday night after Matt got off work. We went sledding on Friday and it was the perfect day. The kids all had so much fun. We slept at their cabin on Friday night too and then drove home Saturday morning.

This is my favorite action shot, capturing the fun we had that day!

Mac and Claire had fun just being pulled around the driveway. Claire was a little less steady sitting on the sled than Mac.

Lynn Moyes came over to say hi and the kids asked him for a ride on his snowmobile. Later that day he loaned us two of his snowmobiles and we were able to take the kids for a couple hours. The kids loved it! Then Matt and Austin went with Lynn on a longer ride, which they all enjoyed. It was so nice of Lynn to let us play with his sleds!

Christmas 2018

Christmas Eve is always spent at Mark and Marianne's. We were the first one there by a few hours so our kids were super ready by the time it got started. We should have done something else before, but oh well. It eventually started and my kids were excited. Missy is definitely the favorite aunt. Claire reaches for her the second she sees her. Marianne read a few stories to the kids and then they opened their jammies. Marianne opened hers and there was a set of baby pajamas and an ultrasound from Adam and Michelle. I didn't even get what was going on at first until Marianne started screaming. I am so excited for them!

 

 

 Christmas morning was wonderful! Corbin and Maggie woke up about seven and we woke Kent up at eight. I brought them their stocking downstairs to look through and then we went up to open presents. After they each opened two I decided I didn't want Claire to sleep through it all so I went and woke her up too. We took our traditional family picture, and then started on more presents.

 

 

 

 Our kids were spoiled and got pretty much everything they asked for. They all got legos and plenty of toys to keep them busy (in theory.) Maggie got the most practical things because we just moved her bedroom downstairs, so she got new bedding and her name decoration for her wall.

We went to Mark and Marianne's around 11 and then hung out at my parents house for a while and ate lunch. By the time Claire woke up at five our kids were so ready to get home to play with all of their new things.

Christmas Eve Snow

 On Christmas Eve we woke up to the best snow storm. I loved that the kids were out of school and Matt had the day off so we could all go play in the snow. Kent just walked around eating the snow and shaking it off of all the trees. Maggie immediately started a snowman so Matt and I helped her. Corbin built himself a snow fort. They had all of this done by 9:30 am. Claire slept through the whole morning and it was perfect.
