Happy 60th Mark!

For Mark's 60th birthday, Marianne reserved a room at Maddox for a small surprise party. It even stayed a surprise until Mark saw Adam and Michelle in the parking lot of Maddox. It was a great dinner, but missing Malcolm. It is so nice to go out with the family without kids sometimes.

Random Update

I always have a ton of pictures on my cell phone that I think are cute, but don't ever do anything with. So here is a random post of some of the things we have been doing the last few months.
My mom to my kids and Kael to the train museum one afternoon. It was so nice to just have the three of them, the boys had so much fun! It was also nice because we were the only ones there for almost the entire time and there there was just one couple. We were glad they game because the very friendly, knowledgeable worker went to share his facts with them.
Maggie can't get outside enough! Every morning when she wakes up she goes to the door and hands me whatever shoes are by the door, whether they are hers or not.
When I thought I was running a half marathon, I bought a double stroller. My kids had the funnest day playing in the box. Then when it broke it became a slide that entertained them forever.
Our TV doesn't work very well so when I let Corbin watch the computer, I make him as comfy as possible.
Just sneaking a treat after helping mom make cupcakes.
Learning to play with the t-ball set Grandma Davis gave him for his birthday. Love this handsome man!
Maggie had to get her blood drawn to test her iron level a few weeks ago. It was so sad. I had her in my lap, on person drew the blood, another held her arm as still as possible and another tried to distract her with her new teddy bear. She was a trooper! She obviously hated it, but there was a huge dog in the foyer of the hospital when we walked out of the lab and all was well. Her iron was good so no more iron drops!
Corbin wanted to go mountain biking like his dad. So he found a helmet, the shorts are the only helmet he could find (hats obviously are not good pretend helmets), he got his camelbak, and he got on his bike to ride in the mountains. He really didn't want me to take a picture of his adventure.
I had a bad mom moment one night when Matt was doing some plumbing work at our house. I was trying to keep the kids away so I put them in the stroller to walk just to the stop sign and back. I didn't buckle them up and Maggie fell right out onto the pavement. It was so sad! She got a little cut on her head a pretty good road rash on her shoulder.
Maggie's naps usually consist of some type of project for me and Corb. Here is just one.

Happy 4th of July!

After putting Maggie down for the night on July 3rd, I decided that I was being a lame mom and woke her up to head out to Plain City for the fun. We went over to Barbara's for sparklers and fireworks. Maggie loved the sparklers and the first few fireworks. She was clapping and squealing. Then they started the bigger, loud fireworks and she hated them. Corb loved the whole night. Matt and Corbin joined in the fun sleeping outside at Grandma Jenkins, while Maggie and I headed home to sleep good in our own beds. Corb was thrilled that he got to have a sleepover. He didn't even know it rained. Thanks to Matt who did not sleep because he was the only adult outside with the ten kids.

The morning of the fourth, Maggie and I met up with Matt and Corbin at the parade. I loved their clothes from Grandma Jenkins, they were so cute!

Both the kids liked the parade better from afar.
At the park, Corbin wanted to do anything and everything Max did. So we just followed in his shadow to get his hair painted and play games. Poor Corb didn't win anything good, but I think he still had fun, despite the heat.
We cooled off at Grandma's and then both my kids napped while Matt and Austin drove down to Tooele. About five o'clock we headed home and our day was over. We bathed the kids and put them to bed and Matt and I were asleep before any fireworks ever even started.

Wolf Creek

For the Jenkins' family vacation this year, we rented a condo at Wolf Creek and just hung out for two days. We really had nothing on the agenda, and it was great. We went swimming, played tennis, swam some more, played games, and ate. Maggie slept absolutely terrible, but other than that is was a ton of fun. The first night she did decent, the second night she was up crying from 10:30 to 1:00 am, terrible. Matt took her for a drive and she still didn't even fall asleep.  She does terrible when she isn't home.
My kids love the water. Corbin loved swimming with Grandma, which made her super happy. Maggie was a little cold because it was kind of windy outside, but she still enjoyed it. Things got a little crazy with the human pyramids and throwing Grandma across the pool, but it was super fun.
