Six Months!

Van is SIX MONTHS! I can't believe it! It is so sad and exciting to watch my last baby grow so fast. He can sit pretty good, but I won't leave him without pillows around him. He has tried all the baby food fruits and veggies and oatmeal. He is pretty good about sleeping through the night, but I am working on getting him to sleep in just his crib without his dock a tot because his head is a little flat the doctor said. He is 19 lbs 15 oz 87%, 27 inches 62%, and 100% for his head. He is pretty good. He definitely gets sad but as soon as he is outside he is just fine.

Dance Pictures

Maggie's dance pictures this year were in her Diamond Are a Girl's Best Friend costume. She also did better together, a production number, and Showoff will be in her final show. She had 12 girls on Petite Company this year, but three were missing for pictures. She loved her teachers, Rose and Buffy!

Spring Soccer

Kent, Maggie, and Corbin finished up their spring soccer seasons this month. Maggie's team was undefeated and Kent only lost one game. Matt coached both of them this year. Corbin's team got moved up two brackets from last season because they were the first place team so this season was a lot harder. They tied their last two games which was a great way to end the rough season. I have loved watching them, but it is nice to have our Saturdays back for a while. I was only able to go to one of Maggie's games this season because we are so busy, but they all did awesome.

Kent's Birthday

Kent turned SEVEN a few weeks ago. His birthday was on a school day and he was a little sick so I let him sleep in. I thought he would want to stay home with me, Claire, and Van because he always wants to stay home, but I was totally wrong. He was so mad at me for not waking him up. They were celebrating his birthday at school and he didn't want to miss it. I let him open one present really quick and then I took him to school just a couple minutes late. Then I had to run to the store to buy a treat for him to pass out to his class and bring it back to him.

After school he played for a while with friends and then he had soccer practice and a baseball game. He got to open his last present right before practice when Matt got home. Grandpa Jenkins took Kent to his game that night and Kent thought that was a pretty special present on its own.

I had a Relief Society meeting and Matt got heat stroke that day so it was a little crazy. My parents came over to give Kent his presents from them and I missed it. They stayed to help get kids in bed because Matt was so sick.
Overall it was a great birthday. He celebrated with Grandma Jenkins the Sunday before his birthday. He also had a friend birthday part at Aunt Missy's pool the Saturday after his birthday. He only had four friends there, but it was perfect. Missy had set up balloons all over. She had pina coladas and snow cones for everyone and the pool was a blast.

He has definitely loved his hammock that he got from me and Matt.

Tulip Festival

Marianne took all the girls to the tulip festival for mothers day this year. I had never been. This staircase was my favorite part, but it was all beautiful. We walked around for a while and then went out to dinner. It was a fun little girls night.
