Crazy Hair Day

Maggie had crazy hair day at preschool last week. When we were looking at Corbin's year book a few nights before she saw this hairstyle from some girls on Corbin's crazy hair day and she loved it. I wish I could have had it stand up higher on her head, but it was much harder to do than I thought it would be. After it was done, she told me she wanted color, which I didn't really want to add, but I mixed some kool-aid in with gel and painted her hair purple. Then she wanted to to add red. I feel like it should have been a Maleficent costume, not a crazy hair day, but it did turn out crazy!
It made me so nervous when I dropped Maggie off at school and the only three boys I saw get out of their cars had nothing done to their hair. I panicked for a minute until Ms. Helen made a big deal of how much she loved it when she opened Maggie's car door.
I don't know if Maggie loved it as much as she hoped, but it worked. Right when she got home she asked to get in the tub and wash it all out though. It was a perfect two hour hairstyle.

Swimming

I have been wanting to go swimming for weeks. I need something to remind me of summer. Today, the kids were out for President's Day. So my sisters and I all headed to the Clearfield pool. It was a blast.
I think Corbin had to be exhausted by the end. He tredded the water the entire time we were there. It didn't matter that he had a life jacket on, he was literally moving the whole time.
Kent was crazy! He would just jump into the water whether someone was ready or not. He also loved the little slide and could do it all on his own. I liked to be at the bottom to catch him to make sure he could stand up, but he would go whether I was there yet or not, he didn't care.
Mag pie just wanted to be with the big kids. She was happy in whatever part of the water we were in. They were all so happy with our swimming trip.
We only stayed for an hour an a half, but it was totally worth it. I wish we had stayed longer though. I only left because I wanted to get Kent down for a nap, but we got stuck in traffic and it took me a full hour to get home from Clearfield. I was so unhappy by the time we got home. It kind of ruined our fun swimming day until I looked at all these fun pictures, we really had such a great time.

Hogle Zoo

Well, January was very uneventful. We really did nothing that I took pictures of. One Sunday morning Matt had the idea to take a picture which he never agrees too, so I was happy about that. Other than that, we were just trying to survive winter.
Matt has been working crazy hours the last few weeks and we were all sick of it. So Saturday morning we decided to spend the day as a family and went to the Hogle Zoo. It was the perfect day. It was plenty warm enough and not crazy busy. After we took our kids to McDonald's and they thought Matt was the best dad ever. He tried to give me some credit, but they just thanked him for taking us everywhere.
My kids loved the animals. Especially Corbin and Maggie. Maggie hadn't been since she was way young, so she didn't remember it. Kent didn't seem to love the animals necessarily, but he still had a fun day.
My kids are so lucky to have such an awesome dad! He is so fun and truly the best!
The lions were right next to us and roared so loud, I thought it was fake when I was first walking up, like a recording. It was pretty cool.
