Valentine's Day

Marianne had all the grandkids over on Valentine's Day to make heart shaped rice krispy treats. They each got to help push the treats into the mold and them eat them.
They each got a little Valentine from Grandpa and Grandma Jenkins too.
They also got Valentine's in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa Davis and Great Grandpa and Grandma Davis. They were so excited to get mail. Maggie carried her "book" around all day. Good thing our parents are so cute, because we didn't do anything for our kids for Valentine's. Corbin was so excited for it to. The night before he told me, "Mom, in case I sleep in will you come and wake me up and tell me, Corbin, it's Valentine's day!" I don't know what he was expecting, but at the end of the day he did tell me he was so sad Valentine's day was over.

February Fun

The weather this year has been incredible! As much as I know we need the moisture, I have loved the early spring. Last week my kids wanted to fly kites. My new road is great, no cars, no trees, no power lines. We flew kites on our road. The kids had a blast. I actually loved it.
Corbin went on his first long bike ride to his Kindergarten to turn in some papers. We walked in to the office with a bright green paper and the secretary said, "a new kindergartner?" Corbin was beaming. She went to get more papers and as we were just standing in the office, Corbin said "This is even more fun than I thought." We rode to the park and then home. Corbin was exhausted, but had so much fun and was so proud. We had a yummy ice cream treat when we got home.
