One Year

Wow, it has been one year since Matt and I were sealed in the Ogden temple. In some ways it seems like it has been longer than that (like the fact I am 12 weeks from having a baby), but really I can't believe it has been one whole year.
For our anniversary we went to Maddox for dinner. We had the cutest waitress ever. She was an older Japanese lady and so friendly. She told Matt that when our baby comes he better start eating his vegetables so that his son will see. Just things like that all night, she was great. Then we went to Sherlock Holmes . . . we are very behing on our movie watching.
We went home and had a piece of our wedding cake. My mom had kept it in her freezer for the past year. I swear she used an entire roll of saran wrap to keep it so fresh. It seriously tasted the exact same as it did the night we got married. It looked pretty good too.

28 weeks

As of today I am officially in my third trimester. I feel huge. Seriously, it is so crazy to think I have three more months to still grow. I don't know if I can keep growing. I finally broke down and bought maternity clothes the other day. I went in about a month ago and couldn't bring myself to do it. I tried on every possible pair of pants and went and gave them all back and said I would come back when I was desperate. Shannon and I went to Old Navy the other day and actually found way cute maternity pants. Wow, they are so much more comfortable, amazing the difference!

Clean Shaven

Thank goodness for warm weather . . . the beard is gone. One day of Matt working in 60+ degree weather and he had had enough. I was shocked when he came out of the bathroom clean shaven. He looked so much better! and younger, crazy how facial hair really adds years to your look. Here are the chops he considered keeping for a minute, good thing that idea didn't last long.
He was actually quite sad to see it go . . . don't ask me why. I wasn't the slightest bit depressed at all. It was kind of weird to look at him at first though. I had gotten so used to the beard he looked so different. Although, it didn't take long to get used to my handsome clean-shaven husband again.

Weekend Vacation

This weekend Matt and I drove up to Boise to visit Austin & Shawnee. What a fun little get-a-way. Friday night we didn't get there until about 10:30 because we just left after work. Saturday we went to a session at the Boise temple. I'm glad I was with Shawnee, I was so lost. Once again, no picture. I'm never going to have any pictures of temples we visit. I always have my camera, just never use it. We also went out to dinner and then went to Walmart and bought some games to play. I am now a big fan of Blokus. None of us had ever played it, but our Young Men's president had explained it to me one night at mutual so we decided to buy it.

So I finally got a couple good picture of the beard. Good news . . . the shaving date has moved up. It is no longer until the baby comes. Now, the beard will go after the boys Grand Canyon Hike. Only about a month and a half left.

Thanks Austin & Shawnee for letting us come and visit, we had a great time!

Today's Fallacy

So, may I ask why my entire life I have been under the impression that a pregnancy was to last for nine months? I am now under the impression that pregnancy lasts for 40 weeks. If my calculations are correct, hmm . . . that equals ten months. Not cool. I'm not necessarily complaining, I should probably wait until the last couple months for that, no I am just simply stating a fact. That this common fallacy should really be corrected: pregnancy in the doctors terms, which really is all that matters, lasts for a whole 40 weeks or ten months. Just wanted to get that out there.
