Halloween

Corbin and Maggie dressed up the morning of Halloween for school. We slept in so we were hurrying as quick as we could to get ready. Luckily, they had super easy costumes this year. Maggie was a 50's girl and Corbin was a fireman.
Kent didn't have anything until later that night. After kindergarten my mom took us and Shannon and Erin and Spencer out to lunch at Hug Hes. The rest of the afternoon we played in the leaves and enjoyed the amazing fall weather.
Once Corbin got home from school I got the kids ready again for the night. Kent was a lumberjack. Nothing fancy. I actually made him a mummy costume that he wore to school and then Matt had this idea.
We went to my mom's just to say hi and show off costumes. Then we went to Marianne's and ate dinner. We went to a few family houses by Marianne's and then headed home to trick-or-treat in our own neighborhood.

My kids were only out for about an hour.  It was perfect. They came home and played with the slime Marianne gave them, ate some candy, and we got ready for bed. They were in bed about nine, pretty good for Halloween night.

Carving Pumpkins

For Family Night the night before Halloween we carved pumpkins. Corbin was set that he would do his entire pumpkin by himself, which he did. Maggie wanted to do hers alone, but wasn't quite able to get it to turn out the way she wanted. She was a little upset, but we were able to work it out and she did most of it by herself. Kent and Matt worked together Kent's pumpkin. When Matt was finished Kent was not so he added ears to his three eyed monster. Maggie had a kitty and Corbin just had a spooky jack o lantern.
