My Family

My little family at Sunday dinner. Jed, want to see how big your little guy is getting? This is for you. He sure doesn't seem very little with Corbin around.
Beau wouldn't stop saying cheese after that picture so we had to let him in on this next one too. He fits in our family well don't you think?

Just Pictures

This is kind of picture overload. I couldn't decide which ones I wanted to post, so I just put them all on.
Corbin loved getting his hair washed. I was all stressed because he screamed the entire time i tried to bathe him. Then he was a perfect angel for Matt to wash his hair.
Matt absolutely loves Corbin, it is the cutest thing. The first night home Matt could barely sleep because he wasn't in the same room as Corbin. I wouldn't let Matt bring him in our room to sleep so finally Matt got a big quilt and went and slept on the floor of Corbin's bedroom.
Yesterday I went to Shannon's and we used her nice camera to get some pictures of him at one week. Neither of us are great photographers, but I think I got some cute ones.

One Week

Wow, one week already. It has been so full of adjustments it seems to have flown by. Last Monday I received a call from the hospital to schedule my induction for Tuesday morning at 7:00 am. All of the sudden it seemed real, I basically freaked out. I knew for sure I was having a baby the next day! The hospital called Tuesday morning and pushed my time back an hour an a half because they had been so busy that night. I was checked in and they started my IV with pitocin a little after nine. At 11:15 they broke my water, 20 minutes later gave me an epidural and Corbin was born at 3:56. It went so much better than I had expected. We were in the hospital until Thursday afternoon because the doctor doing rounds that morning forgot about me.
It is nice to be home and have the delivery all over with, but it has been quite the experience. Thank goodness Matt took an entire week off. He has been amazing. He went to Walmart three times in the first 24 hours. Corbin is a really good baby, but none the less, a baby. I am running on much less sleep I ever thought I could handle. I have absolutely no idea what I am doing and don't know why anyone would entrust a brand new baby with me, but we are loving it! Who knew you could instantly be in love with someone? I love Corbin and Matt more than anything and love that I am now a mother!

Train Museum

I seriously love not working. It has been so fun to actually go and do things with my mom and sisters and not miss out because I was at work. Today we all went to the train museum at the Union Station. I had never been there before, they have some way cool things. The kids had a way fun time, well so did the adults.
I really need to work on getting better pictures. The only way we got Gage to look right here is to tell him that I was going to go home and show Matt the pictures. Then of course he was all for showing off how high he was on this cool train. I was surprised at how much there was for the kids to play with. No wonder they love it so much. I was expecting more of a museum to just look at old trains, not climb all over them.
This is the only picture I have of Beau and he is not happy at all about it. I never can get him to sit still long enough for anything.
Our tickets also get us into the restored car museum, which was way cool. The cars all look brand new. I liked the way old one that was steam powered. When we came out of the car museum Jed could see the restaurant and asked his mom if we could eat there. She told him no we were going to go back to grandmas to eat. He didn't like her answer and replied, well whose in charge? Ha, I don't know why I thought it was so funny, but I loved his response.Fun day! I wish all the walking would put me into labor. I only have four days left. I went to the doctor on Wednesday and he said he could induce me on Tuesday. It will be late afternoon, but if my labor is relatively quick Corbin with share a birthday with both Michelle and Malcolm. Too bad I couldn't have him this week though. Meri and Melissa are out of town and Erin is leaving Wednesday. These past few days would have been just so convenient!

Dinosaur Park

My mom has been watching Steph's kids while she is at girls camp this week. Today she decided to take everyone to Dinosaur Park. It was so much fun to not be at work and be able to go with them. I think everyone had a great time. The weather seemed way hot, but it really was perfect. It was impossible to get all the kids in one picture no matter how many times we tried. Even with just four we can't get them all to look. I took tons of pictures and really didn't get that many good ones. There is just way too much to see to want to hold still for a picture.
This one Jed is 'scared' because the dinosaur is about to eat them.
So fun! Everyone was exhausted by the end, well me and the babies were for sure. It was the perfect day for dinosaur park though.
