Camping at Causey

Friday Matt was able to get off early and we went up to his friend Colby's property in Causey. Colby has one son Miles that Corbin gets along with so well. The played the whole time. There was a super fun swing all the kids loved. They had airsoft gun wars. Corbin and Maggie loved the four wheeler and motorcyle. Kent was most content in the little stream trying to catch water skeeters. Claire only wanted her daddy the entire time. She loved the black pipe slide, but only if it was Matt that took her over to it. Even Cougar got to come with us this time. We stayed the night in a tent, well the boys slept in their hammocks and thought that was the best. I barely slept at all so we left about lunch time on Saturday because Claire and I were so tired. It was a short little outing, but so much fun.

4th of July

The fourth was a little bit different this year (just like everything else in life.) We still did our normal third of July at the Jenkins with dinner and fireworks. Claire and I went home, but everyone else stayed overnight. Claire was so tired because she didn't nap that we only stayed for the first few fireworks.
The morning of the fourth we went to breakfast at Barbara's. There was a little mini parade that passed as we were eating, but it was tiny and only Maggie went out to watch it. It was kind of nice not for anyone to have the need to rush off. We stayed for quite a while. The sandbox was a hit.
The rest of the day we split between our parents houses. My parents had their pool out and Marianne had rented the giant water slide. Plain City did have a traveling carnival instead of the traditional activities at the square. Corbin went over with Beau, Kael, and Cori. They bought snow cones, got their hair dyed, and played maybe one or two little games. They said the games were lame because you couldn't even touch the Plinko chips. You just had to tell the lady running it where she should drop it. I was fine without going to the square and enjoyed cooling off in the pool and the shade. Maggie for some reason was wherever I was not. When we were at Marianne's she walked to my mom's and then as soon as I got to my mom's she left. So I didn't really get any pictures of her.
Claire absolutely hated the waterslide, but loved being in my mom's pool.
