Summer Rain

I don't want Van to grow up. I love summer rain storms and Van wanted to badly to go jump in puddles. I only have a few more years of puddle jumping and I loved every second of it this time.

First Day of School

Everyone had a great first day this year. Corbin started ninth grade! Maggie is in seventh. Kent is in fifth with Ms. J. Claire is in first with Mrs. Spencer. Maggie and Corbin were ready with time to spare, luckily because the bus came early and their friends missed it on the first day.
Kent and Claire were also ready 45 minutes early. I had to keep them in the house until 8 and I finally let them go. Van and I had a great morning at the playground with just us. This whole week has been short days so we haven't had a ton of time to do things yet, but I am excited to be one on one with him for a while again. He can't wait until it is his first day in a couple weeks too.

Freeber Meet

Corbin is running Cross Country for Weber High School this fall. He had his first meet at Fremont last Saturday. It was a three mile course and he got 21:18. He was the fifth runner for the JV team. It was so fun to watch him run! He is definitely going to be busy this fall with an intense school schedule (including AP human geography, biology, honors math, and honors english,) soccer, and cross country. I am so excited to see him work hard and improve though!

Swim Day

Our last day of swimming lessons was cancelled clear back in June. Instead of a makeup day we were given free passes to North Shore. So the last Friday of summer we finally decided to use them. We met Ellie and Michelle at the pool and swam for hours. It wasn't super busy and everyone had so much fun! Kent just did his thing on the diving board and in the big pool. Maggie brought her friend Abbi, and Maybree was there. Claire was so excited that she could touch in the entire play pool so she didn't have to wear a life jacket and loved it. She got so sunburned though. We would have even stayed longer, but I had to get home to get Corbin to Cross Country. It was a great ending to summer!
