Decor
Why is it so hard for me to want to decorate Corbin's room? It is our multi-purpose room, and it has the ugly wood panels so I haven't really cared too much. Finally after ten months I decided it wouldn't hurt to put at least a few little things on the walls.
The picture is just from my phone, so it's not tremendous. I made this little name banner, or whatever you might call it, last night. It actually turned out a lot cuter than this picture gives it credit for. I tried hanging them this morning though and I cant get them straight, it's driving me crazy. I also did a cute bulletin board full of pictures. I took a picture of that too, but I couldn't get it to upload. It's not much, but at least it's something!

Ward Prom
I love when activities turn out way better than expected. I was a little sceptical about our "Senior Prom" the young women put on every year. This year it was suggested to open it up to everyone 18 and older. I thought it sounded like a lot more work and it is on a Tuesday so would it be worth it? Would people really come? Well, it was one of the best activities we have had all year. We decorated like prom, with a backdrop and all (but very low key), and did the whole Thanksgiving dinner: turkey, potatoes, rolls, corn, yams (which all went to waste as the girls suspected,), stuffing, etc. We only had 20 people RSVP, but luckily we had a much better turn out than that. After dinner was dancing to oldies, and it was a hit. We took pictures of all the couples, and even some group pictures. I think everyone enjoyed the pictures. I will be printing them this week and giving them out at church. Thank you to everyone who helped and came to enjoy! It turned out great!
I have some way cute couple pictures, but I didn't dare post pictures of random people in our ward, so here are our wonderful youth I am so lucky to work with!

FINISHED!
How wonderful that sounds! I am completey finished with our ward cookbook. It is being formatted now, then it is off to the printer and our finished product with arive the first first of April. I think it turned out good, but I would never do it, as a fundraiser, again. For being a camp fundraiser, our girls did hardly anything, not there fault, we leaders can be blamed. I typed and proofed the whole thing, our bishopric member is formatting it and we are paying for it to be printed and bound. I had a few ideas of how to get the girls involved, but none of them panned out. The girls did spend one night of mutual going around to ward members asking for recipes, but that was it. I wanted them to proof it, but I didn't realize how soon the books had to be finished. Oh well, I am glad we did it. If we sell all 128 cookbooks we will make more than our girls have ever made for a fundraiser and might do sweatshirts for camp, something our girls have never had. It was a lot of work, but it was worth it.

Babysitting Catastrophe
Matt's sister is on a cruise and we are tending their three year old, Megan. We picked her up Sunday night and have her until next Monday. Wow! Two kids is definitely different than one. I have no toys for a three year old so I had to raid my mom's house of all toy dishes, dolls, and toy hair tools. They have saved me; I play dishes and hair all day long.
Anyways, Monday night Melissa invited us over for family night. We were there maybe fifteen minutes and the two girls start running down the hall and we hear a huge thud. We run down the hall and Megan is screaming with blood running all over her face. I pretty much freaked out and didn't know what to do. Melissa grabbed her and put her on the counter. Matt grabbed a rag and put pressure on it, but they knew immediately she would need stitches. We called Matt's mom because she had the doctor information and the consent to treat. Matt dropped me and Corbin off at the house so I could get him to bed and Matt and Megan went and met Grandma at the doctors. Matt said she was so scared but way brave. She put her hands up like she wanted to touch it, but knew she wasn't supposed to so she stopped. They ended up just putting glue on it instead of stitches. We asked her after and I guess she just slipped and hit her head on the door frame. It just happened conveniently the first day we have her.
So day one of babysitting didn't go so well. The rest hasn't been too bad, but I still have three and a half days.

7 1/2 months
I got Corbin's pictures taken about a month ago. He was a little stinker! He was so happy so I was way excited to get them done, but as soon as I wanted him to hold still he was ticked. I am happy she got these ones to turn out. He was on the go the whole time, or if I was trying to get him to hold still he was screaming at me. They turned out cute though, the last one is my favorite.
