On Saturday morning our family got in the car and started driving. This isn't that uncommon, and we usually don't know where we are going. Once we ended up at the zoo, sometimes at a park, this day we ended up at East Canyon. Matt wanted to drive up to the Uintahs, but I wouldn't let him go that far, so he pulled off in Morgan. We stopped at a grocery store and bought some stuff for lunch and then pulled off the road at just a free day use site at East Canyon. I was super ornery the whole way up so I felt really bad, but it was such a fun morning. We walked down by the water, which was crazy low, and threw rocks in for a few minutes. We ate our lunch and just hung out. It was the perfect temperature and it didn't even rain while we were there. This is the boys hiding from me, not the best hiding spot, but perfect for a picture.
We stayed for about two hours until Maggie was beyond ready for a nap. We loaded up to head home and the Tahoe wouldn't start. At first it made a loud screaching sound and then it wouldn't do anything. So we were stranded at East Canyon off of a road that wasn't at all busy. Matt went and stood by the side of the road for about ten minutes until a truck pulled up. Luckily, they had jumper cables and were willing to help us. It was only about a ten minute delay, but still not what I wanted. I do have to say, those are the times that teaching our kids is the easiest. We all said a prayer that we could get the car started and ten minutes later we were on our way. That night in Corbin's prayers we thanked Heavenly Father for helping us and answering our prayers.
