Easter morning

Corbin informed me the night before Easter that Maggie was sad that our Easter Bunny didn't ever hide our baskets. So on Sunday morning they found out that our Easter Bunny hid ours! Corbin and Maggie were up before me so they were already into their candy before I got a picture. Corbin thought outfits were pretty lame, but sure devoured the candy quick.

Kent woke up just after me so everyone followed him around until he found his. Kent gets pretty excited about everything right now, it sure makes it fun.

Claire got into her chocolate, wrapper and all, before anyone could help her with it.
Matt had meeting on Easter Sunday so he missed out on all of it, the whole five minutes there was to miss out on. I am not a super eventful holiday person.

Easter Eggs

Saturday night we dyed Easter eggs. We didn't do anything too fancy, but it is crazy how much kids love the little things. They each got four eggs and then Matt, Claire and I each did one. (Claire watched me do hers and then held it for a minute.)

She really just enjoyed chik fil a while the other kids had fun dying their eggs.

Easter Saturday

We go to Pioneer Park in Plain City every year for Easter with Matt's family. This year the park was super busy because there were Lacrosse games the entire day. We had the bowery though, so it wasn't bad. We couldn't fly kites or play in the field, but the kids had fun at the playground most of the time. We always have dutch oven chicken and potatoes which are delicious.
The Easter egg hunt is always the best part. The eggs were all scattered around the baseball diamond and it is surprising how long it can take to find all the eggs contained in that one space. Kent was so happy that Madeline was his partner, because she is old and a good helper.
Claire participated in her first egg hunt for just a few minutes. The first egg I opened for her had a binky and she was no longer interested in an egg hunt.

Birthday Party

Today Maggie turned SEVEN! We gave her one present this morning before her party, a new dance bag. We had a joint birthday party for Maggie and Kent today. We went to Elite Gymnastics and had a blast. It was such an easy place for a party. Meredith and I both drove a car full of kids and they just entertained themselves for two hours. They didn't even want to stop to do presents or eat. They barely ate anything so they could get back out and play. Kent only had a couple friends there, but they all had so much fun too.
The girl that worked there was awesome. She would swing the kids or spot them on their back hand springs (for those that were close like Maggie.) She really wanted Claire to like her and kept stealing her. Claire did like the mini bars.

Zoo Day

Yesterday to finish off Spring Break, my mom and I took my kids to the Hogle Zoo. Maggie was supposed to have a field trip here a couple weeks ago, but slipped and hit her head in the bathroom before they left the school so they wouldn't let her go (she was fine.) So we did a make up day for her. It was perfect weather and so much fun. Just a little busy, but not bad.
This lizard was Claire's favorite of the day. It came up right by the glass and stared at her. She put her hand up and it kept sticking its tongue out at her and she loved it! She stayed in front of it for a couple minutes.

St. George

Matt and I were invited to go to St. George for a little work trip last weekend. We left Thursday before the kids got out of school. Meredith was awesome and took our kids the whole weekend. We drove to Cedar and ate lunch with one of the other couples going down. KBell had a condo rented for us to stay in and paid for all our meals and activities while we were there.
Friday morning we went to breakfast and the wives all got massages. We met up with our hubbies and drove to Gunlock reservoir to see the waterfalls. They were super cool.
We also hiked the Vortex to see the cool bowls that were full of water this year because of how wet the winter was.
Friday night they had a small meeting with us and then we played games.
Saturday morning we went to Sand Hollow and rode four wheelers and side by sides. I didn't really love the side by side I rode out there so I went back and hung out with another girl in the parking lot for an hour and a half while the others rode.
Matt and I were ready to be done so we decided to run back. We mapped a trail that was supposed to be 8.2 miles. We started running and missed our turn so we ended up running over ten miles and a couple huge hills. It was a brutal run, but still fun to do it with Matt. After that we packed up and headed home. It was a short little getaway, but so much fun.
