Kid pictures

My kids are just growing up too fast. Corbin is almost six, Maggie is four and Kent is two. I absolutely love my pictures from Sierra Rose Photography. It was hard to narrow it down to three of each of them to post.

Sierra was bound and determined to get a picture of them hugging, this is how every single one turned out. Kent hated it!

T-Ball

I had to convince Corbin to play a second year of t-ball. Last year we played in Plain City and the only thing he remembers about t-ball was the terrible mosquitoes. The mosquitoes were bad, but I just remember it being a pain to get all three kids out to Plain City alone and on time. This year I told him I wanted to try one more year and we would be doing it in North Ogden probably with a lot of friends from Kindergarten. When I got his roster, I told him the only one he would know was Gavyn. He told me Gavyn had just broken his wrist the day before at school. Luckily though, Gavyn is still playing. There has been at least one person on each team we have played against he has known as well. So definitely a more successful year. He still doesn't love it. After his first practice I asked if he like it. He said he only liked when he batted, other than that he just had to stand and wait in the field for a long time. T-ball is a slightly slow sport, but I am glad we did it still.

Preschool Graduation

Maggie graduated from three year old preschool today. I don't really get it, because she isn't graduating, she is just taking a three month break until she starts four year old preschool at the exact same place, but she was excited. It was at the fish farm. We were ten minutes late so everyone was ready and waiting for us. It started right when we got there. They sang a few songs for us and then each child walked across the bridge. That was it.
 Maggie and Ms. Helen
The portfolio she got was darling. It had a pencil sketch of her school photo, her diploma, a couple cute poems, a video and a graduation sucker.
Maggie was super excited about her cute hairstyle for graduation, but I didn't even think about her wearing a graduation cap. It barely stayed on over her bun. She looked cute though. The back was super cute.
The boys giving kisses.
Kent is seriously so sweet. On Sundays he only lets Matt do anything with him during Sacrament meeting. I kept asking him to sit with me and he wouldn't. I pulled a way pouty face and he looked at me for a minute and said, "Hug!" He gave me a huge hug and then went right to Matt. It was seriously adorable. He does it all the time to the other kids too. When they are sad or he knows he hurt them he will say hug and go give them a big hug.
Matt bought fish food for each of the kids to feed the fish. Kent made me a nervous wreck by all the ponds. Everyone was assigned to bring something for a pot lock and then you brought your own meat. I didn't bring any meat, only a salad. There was hardly any food so we just had a cookie and headed home.
When we got home, I put in the video of her school year to watch and Maggie started bawling. She said she missed Ms. Helen. She seriously cried for probably ten minutes. This girl is so emotional sometimes, I don't know how to handle it.

Dinosaur Park

Corbin went on his last Kindergarten field trip on Monday. I got to go with him, which was super awesome of my dad to come up to my house since Kent and Maggie were both still asleep when we left. I can hardly believe he is almost done with Kindergarten! The field trip was fun, but cold. I was expecting it to warm up much sooner than it did. When we got there Corbin asked me why he had to wear shorts on his field trip. Luckily, by the end, the sun came out to warm us up.
Corb's class got split into three groups, so he didn't have any of his friends to walk around with, but we did get to meet up with everyone at the playground. They colored their own stegosaurus, walked the park to see the dinos, and dug for dinosaur bones. I love spending alone time with my kids on their field trips. It is also super fun to see how they act at school and around their friends.

Air Force Museum

I have been telling my kids about the air force museum for months. Finally, a few weeks ago we went. My boys loved it! Kent just ran from plane to plane following Gage saying, "WOW!" Maggie didn't love it. She wanted to go to the train museum not the planes. Then she thought she would be able to sit in the planes, so she was super disappointed. It started out good though, she was just completely done by the time we left. It was a fun way to spend our afternoon.

Corbin wanted to climb and see the insides, just like Gage. I think having Gage there made my boys like it even more.
Kent seriously loved everything about it. He is obsessed with Jeeps and picks them out wherever we are so we had to go back and look at this one a few times.
We couldn't actually figure out how to do the buckle up on this airplane seat and it was driving Kent crazy. He wants to be buckled in everything.

Kent is TWO!

Kent Earl turned two on the 13th. He was so cute! Both Corbin and Maggie had school that morning, so Kent and I went to the store together to get the stuff for his cake. Then he helped me bake it, cutest helper ever. He is so good at adding the ingredients and stirring with me.
I loved how the cake turned out because it was the easiest cake I have ever made and Kent absolutely loved it!
My family came over the night of his birthday to celebrate. We had cake and ice cream and presents.
When he opened his little CAT four wheeler, he only saw the shovel at first. He was completely happy. He grabbed it and headed straight for the sandbox. Once he saw the full tractor, he was so excited.
Steph brought Rusty to his party because Kent loves him so much. One of my favorite parts of the night was when Kent had Rusty's leash and was walking him around the yard and our neighbors dog Bella ran outside. Kent immediately stopped and looked from one dog to the other. He was obviously torn. He gave Rusty a few quick pets, dropped the leashed and ran straight for Bella. It was hilarious, he wasn't quite sure which dog he wanted to play with more. This kid loves dogs, I don't love dogs and want to get one so bad just for his love of them.
The Jenkins celebrated his birthday on Sunday. Kent had a huge present that all the other kids were so excited for. He was pretty excited about the box too once he got to play on it.
I sure love this two year old. He seems so much older than either of my other kids did at two. Mostly because he talks so well. He repeats everything and can put words together on his own. He is super smart and wants to be a big kid just like Corbin and Maggie.
