Zoo day (or hour and a half)

 Corbin's first grade went to the Hogle Zoo for a field trip last week. He really wanted me to go, so luckily my parents were able to help me out with Kent and Maggie. It was so fun to go with just Corbin. And he LOVES animals so this was a good one to go on. At first my group was just Corb, we were both pretty excited, but right before we started Ms. Given added a girl, Brooke to our group. She was super cute, but I felt bad because all she wanted to do was play on the playground. I just kept telling her we could if we saw all the animals. The field trip was super short because the zoo didn't let us in until an hour after it was scheduled for. So we were only there for an hour and 45 minutes and we had to stop to eat lunch. Corbin wanted to see all the animals so we didn't have time for the playground. Corbin and I were fine with that, but I did kind of feel bad for Brooke. This was the only field trip I went on this year, but it was a great one.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dance competition

 Maggie had her first dance competition a few weeks ago. She is just on a recreation dance team, but the studio she goes to, Simply Posh, puts on a competition every year and invites the rec classes too. She was so excited! It was a fun competion too because all her cousins that dance were there. 

Her team took first place in their division. She told me on the way home, "I am young, but I won first place." It was so cute to see her dance. She was thrilled that she got a star trophy and a water bottle.
