Spring Break

For Spring Break our family went to St. George with Austin and Shawnee and Colby and Cayley. We had a lot of St. George this spring, but this one our whole family went. We stayed at Ocotillo in a house with a pool. St. George gets busy on Spring break so the majority of the time was spent swimming and watching movies. Having the pool right out the back door is so nice for the in and out that is inevitable. Especially because it was cold this year. I couldn't even get in on Wednesday or Thursday because it was cold! On Friday we went to the Stairs at Dixie Tech. I don't know why I like those so much. It is just a random staircase with 333 steps, but I think they are so fun. They were busy though. We tried timing ourselves, but we kept getting caught behind people. We went and hike Red Reef Trail too. That was also crazy busy. We couldn't find any parking spots open so the husbands dropped the wives and kids off and we started while they shuttled each other from the first parking lot. The highlight was Colby slipping into the pond on accident, twice. We stopped at the trading post for ice cream after. Saturday we tried to go into Snow Canyon, but it was so busy we turned around. We ended up just hiking to some petroglyphs and playing in the river for a while. Two of then nights we made the kids dinner and then went out to eat as couples, it was fun to have some date nights.

St. George

Matt and I were able to go to St. George together for manager meetings for KBell a few weekends ago. We left on Thursday after we got the kids off to school and Mylie, Maddi, and Josh tag team babysat while we were gone. When we got down there it had just stopped raining, so we went to Red Reef Trail. It was a super simple hike that led to a little waterfall. It was perfect weather and not another soul hiking.
We stayed at Arcadia with the owners and other managers of Kbell. They took care of all the food and activities. It was a fun weekend. On Friday we went on an ebike ride and instead of renting bikes like we thought, they had a bike and helmet for each of us to take home. We rode 18 miles through Snow Canyon. It was a little chilly, but so fun!
Saturday we played a little pickleball tournament. It was fun to learn without kids and have enough time to really get the hang of it. We weren't great, but it was fun. That night they did their manager meeting portion. It was a little awkward. I wish the wives weren't part of the work conversations. Overall it was a super fun weekend. KBell always does a great job with food and a good time.

Releve

I took Claire and Maggie to St. George a few weekends ago for the Releve Dance competition. Meredith and Megan went with us too. Megan wasn't able to dance because she broke five bones near her pelvis the weekend before. She just went to watch. She most likely is done dancing for the year, and really forever since she is a senior. We left Friday morning and ate lunch at the Creamery in Beaver. It was crazy busy, but something fun and different. This sweet older man came over to me as he was leaving and told me he could tell I was a good mom. Super sweet.
We got there in time to check in at the house we rented and swam for a while. Then we went to Black Bear Diner for dinner and headed to bed. The next day was all dance. Claire and I had to be there at 10. Maggie, Megan, and Meredith came a littler later and we were there until around 8. Meredith took us back to the house and then stayed with Megan until midnight. Our studio did really good, taking home a lot of overalls, including the overall studio. Claire's "Let's Go Girls" took overall for minis. It was a great comp. This comp also gives out free recordings, which I love. I was able to just watch the whole thing and not worry about pictures or videos.
These pictures are from our first comp Aspire, which was just at Weber State.
