Kent Earl Jenkins

I went to the doctor on Monday and was dilated to a four. I was positive for Group B Strep so my doctor told me he would induce me so I could get two doses of the antibiotic. I went in at 7:30 on Tuesday, May 13th. They started me on penicillin at 9:00 am and then I just sat there for four hours until they did my next dose. I wasn't hooked up to any monitors or the IV or anything, we literally were just hanging out in our hospital room. At one my nurse gave me my second dose of penicillin and my doctor came in and broke my water. I got my epideral at 1:30 and it was terrible. My blood pressure kept dropping super low. I would break out sweating and be extremely light headed. The anesthesiologist stayed for a while to give me medicine to bring it back up. This happened three times until it finally leveled itself out. Finally at 2:30 I started pitocin. I was on pitocin for a half hour and then my nurse had to shut it off because I was already dilated to a nine.
Kent Earl Jenkins was born at 3:49 pm on May 13th, 2014. He was 7 pounds 9 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long.
Maggie loved him from the First second she saw him. She wanted to hold him over and b over and over again. Corbin was a little more concerned about why I was In the hospital bed and why I had an IV in.
Corbin liked Kent a lot more the second day when I was up dressed and moving around.
Getting ready to home. I was done with the hospital by now. We had to wait around all morning for the pediatrician to come do the circumcision. Finally Thursday afternoon we all headed home.
Three kids has been crazy, but Kent has been a really good baby.  Matt had to go back to work on Friday which was way sooner than both our other kids, but luckily my mom spent the day at my house. We all love him so much and are glad he is here and doing so well! He is almost two weeks old and hasn't even had a bottle. Finally, third times the charm.

Happy Mothers Day

Corbin's preschool had a Mothers Day Tea Party on Thursday. The kids put on a little program and then we enjoyed cookies and juice. Because Corbin had missed the two previous preschool days he missed out on making me the cute plate and answering questions about me, but it was still cute to hear him sing.

I love being this cute boys mom!

Disney World Wrap Up

The sixth and final day we had the morning to kill because our flight didn't leave until 6 pm. We rode the ferry to the resort next to ours because they had a better pool.
Maggie was obsessed with the slide, she would have spent the entire time there. Corbin was a little unsure until the very end and then he like it.

The kiddy pool was awesome too because I could sit in the shade and watch and it was only six inches deep. We swam for a few hours with the entire family and then it was time to go. We said goodbye to everyone, because they were staying until Friday.
We went back to Matt's parents room got cleaned up and headed off the the airport.
By the time we got to the airport my kids were already at their wits end. Maggie screamed hysterically all through security until we finally strapped her in and walked around until she caved. It was about time. Six days of no nap, plus the excitement of everything was just too much. Even Corbin was done. I just put on a movie and let him chill.
We loaded our plane and then the pilot told us he had bad news and the plane we were on wasn't safe to land in Salt Lake because the runway was too wet. So we had to get off the plane and wait for another two hours for a new plane. I could barely keep from crying. I was so exhausted and ready to be home and Maggie was hysterical again I couldn't stand the thought of getting off the plane. It ended up being better because we got some dinner and Maggie had some wake up time. By the time we boarded again our kids and I were in a much better mood.  We landed in Salt Lake about 10:30 and both kids were asleep. Corbin stayed asleep all the way through the airport, shuttle, and car ride home. Maggie woke up for a bit, but fell asleep on the way home and slept through the night.
Our trip was amazing, but it was super nice to be home. Now we are just playing the waiting game until Kent arrives!

Character Breakfast

The final day in the parks, we did a character breakfast, which was awesome. Corbin was so excited to meet Jake.We also met Doc McStuffins, Princess Sofia, and Handy Manny.
Maggie liked the characters more than Corbin even did, when they danced around the restaraunt, Maggie went right up and joined them. She was so excited when she got to give Jake a high five, I love her face!
The rest of the day was down time for us. We didn't even stay in the park. We went back the the resort and let our kids pick out their souvenirs. Corbin chose a Dusty airport and Maggie chose a princess hair kit. Dad was in heaven when they were practicing their beautician skills.

Matt and Uncle Mike took the kids out lizard hunting for a couple hours. The lizards turned out to be one of Corbin's favorite parts of Florida. When we got home the lady at the grocery store asked him about his trip (yes, we have good friends at our grocery store) he told her about the lizards. We flew 1300 miles to catch lizards that we could catch 200 yards from our house. Anyways, Corbin loved lizard and alligator hunting with Uncle Mike.

Magic Kingdom

Day three was the best day ever: Magic Kingdom. I wish we would have spent one more day in this park, my kids loved it. It was also mine and Matt's favorite. It had the most and best rides for our kids. They got to ride in the tea cups and on Flying Dumbo. We all rode through Peter Pan and the Little Mermaid. I wanted to let my kids meet Rapunzel, but it was worth the 80 minute wait.
This park had a splash pad the was again one of my kids highlights, especially because this day was super hot.

Maggie was beat. She was so tired and hot. We spent some time cooling off and rode the train around the entire park, Corbin loved that. They loved the carousel too, which was nice because it had such a short wait time. Matt wanted to take Corbin on the junior roller coaster, but Corbin didn't want to wait in the line. Poor Matt, didn't get to ride one ride that had any height restriction. I felt bad about that, but it was hard because we stayed on our own so much.
Dinner was at Be Our Guest, which was the Beast's Castle. It was really cool. Maggie finally caved and fell asleep on my lap for about a half hour. It was good timing too, because she was terrified of the Beast. He just walked into the room and she flipped. So she slept on my lap while everyone else went to meet the Beast. Corbin was even a little unsure of him. He was huge.
I didn't ever get a picture of the entire family because the only time we were together was at dinner and it was always a little crazy.

Animal Kingdom

Day two was Animal Kingdom. We started with the entire family and rode the Safari to see all the animals. It was so awesome. I have been wanting to go to the zoo for ever and this was way better. The safari drove right through all of the animals habitats. We had to wait for a rhino to move off the road. Some of the animals were literally right next to us.
We tried the It's tough to be a bug show, but it was terrible. It was 3D which I hate and Maggie was hysterical for the first few minutes so she and I left early.
We spent pretty much the rest of our time at the Dino Land playground. They had a little splash pad that our kids played in forever.
Dinner was with everyone at Rainforest Cafe. The food was really good, but Maggie was dead tired and scared of every animal in the restaurant. So about four of us took turns outside with her while the rest of us finished eating.
Most of our time was spent away from the rest of the family just because our kids and I couldn't do any of the bigger rides. And we took everything at our own pace so I didn't get too worn out. We didn't really want a baby in Florida. So when we were with Max and Mason Corbin was in heaven.
