First Day of School

This may have been the most bittersweet first day of school yet. My kids and I were so excited for it to start back up again, and in person! But there was definitely some hesitation with the whole mask thing, but so far it has gone really well. The kids all love it, and haven't minded the masks enough to complain.

Corbin has Mr. Meyer and is in 5th grade. His best friend is in his class, but it doesn't matter too much because there is pretty much no interaction during school now.
Maggie has Mrs. Redlin in 3rd grade.
Kent started 1st grade all day with Mrs. Spencer, a new teacher to our school this year.
Claire slept the whole morning, which made getting them out the door on their bikes quite easy. Everyone woke up to their new alarm clock and was ready in plenty of time. It was a great first day. Even with the many changes that have been made to the school year, we are excited for all it has in store! School is 45 minutes shorter everyday. I actually kind of like it on normal days, but on short days they are home by 12:30. It doesn't give me much time. At least our district lets them go all five days. We'll take it!
