Santa Came!

Santa payed us a visit this year! Corbin woke up bright and early at 6:30 am this year. We gave him his milk and let him wake up for a few minutes and then went out to open presents. It didn't take him long to catch on. As soon as he realized what was under the wrapping paper he was game to pull it off. He would only pull it off far enough to see what was in it then just pull on whatever it was he wanted out.
Santa gave Corb a little four-wheeler to ride on that he loved. He was also thrilled about his new tool set. After breakfast we had some time to play and then headed off to church. It was a great morning. Corbin was so fun to watch. Matt and I exchanged our gifts as well and I am so happy with everything! The rest of the day was spent with both of our families. Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

To start off Christmas Eve, we ate dinner with my parents and Steph and Joe's family. Then we headed over to Matt's parent's. The adults attempted to play one game. As I was playing I was thinking how much I missed games and wondering why I never played them anymore. Within five minutes, Corb comes down soaking wet. Makenna and Corbin had so kindly decided to clean the toilet. He went straight to the bath tub and I then remembered why moms can't play games - - kids.
So instead of putting him in different clothes he had to wait it out in his diaper, not that he minded at all. Notice Kenna's wet sleeves as they played with Grandma (she faired much better than Corbin.)
Grandma read her Christmas stories, we sang a few Christmas songs and watched a movie on Christ's birth.
Then the madness began. We all opened our new pj's, that are always a hit. Then headed home so Santa could make his appearance.

Christmas is Coming . . .

Please, keep Santa at a safe distance!
Corbin loves everything to do with Christmas, except maybe Santa. He was okay when Santa first walked in, and if he stayed far enough away. But as soon as it was Corb's turn to sit on his lap, he freaked. He was even ticked when Santa had to walk past him in order to leave. It was a little too close for comfort.

Parties Galore!

I love the parties associated with the holiday season. This weekend was our family party, which is always my favorite. Erin and I were in charge of the games. Corbin played pin the hat on Santa with no blindfold, and yet still didn't win.
We did an unwrapping relay and we had to find all of Santa's Reindeer that were lost around the house. The Reindeer games was a hit.
To calm down a bit we sang some Christmas carols. This was probably the only mellow moment
of the night. The kids get to exchange $5 gifts which I think is so perfect for them.
After presents, Matt demonstrated his archery skills by hitting an apple off Gage's head. This is him celebrating.
Such a fun night with our family. Thank you Mom and Dad for the wonderful presents!

Christmas Time is Here!

Corbin is so in love with Christmas lights and decorations this year, it makes the season so much fun! The first thing we have to do when he wakes up or when we walk in the door is plug in the Christmas Tree. Friday night Matt and I took Corbin to Christmas Village in Ogden. We rode the little train they had, but Corbin wasn't too sure of it.
I love the convenience of Christmas Village. It takes less than ten minutes to get there and it wasn't crowded at all. We weren't there for very long, but it was perfect for Corb. He led the way and looked at only the houses he wanted to. The joys of being an only child.

The Nutcracker

This year was my first experience with the Nutcracker. Matt's mom took all the girls in the family for a night out. We went to dinner and then headed to Weber State. At first I have to admit I was pretty bored. I didn't know the story and really had no idea what was going on. The second act was much better because I read the little synopsis and I liked the dancing a lot more. It was a great little night out with all the M's!
