Jenkins Holiday Party

As I sit here feeling like the worst mother in the world, with Pandora blasting in the background, trying to drown out the screaming baby in the background. I am desperate for more sleep. I am no longer a functioning mother. Kent eats every four to five hours, Maggie wakes up about five nights a week, and Corbin is still waking up occasionally. I can no longer handle it. Meredith has convinced me that "sleep training" is the way to go. In the long run, it will be worth it. Maybe one person in my family can sleep through the night.
In the meantime, I will write about this super fun Holiday Party Aunt Sue hosted last weekend. There were so many fun games. This was my favorite. We had a train of ten people. The last person had a balloon tied to each ankle. The first person tried to pop the balloons of the other three trains. Corbin looked absolutely terrified. I almost snatched him right out of his train. He was holding on for dear life with a look of absolute terror on his face. Luckily, Kaden was behind him scooping him up as he fell behind. Afterwards, when Aunt Missy told him their team won, he was beaming, it was worth it.
The marshmallow toss was about the only game Maggie enjoyed. She even got to eat a marshmallow! The best prize ever.
Too bad Matt wasn't on my team. He dominated at the marshmallow toss and catch game. Pretty sure this is a weekly activity at our house.
An individual kid game of pop the balloon. Maggie freaked the first second it started because how dare someone try and pop her balloon, That's just rude! Corbin is slightly, or completely OBSESSED with Kenna since they have moved in with us. Don't bother talking to Corbin if Makenna is anywhere near, he won't pay any attention to you.
Just some snap shots to show off my awesome family. Maggie looked adorable for this party. I took great pride in the fact that I did her hair, NOT Aunt Meri!
Notice the balloon Maggie was able to protect by sitting on dad's lap for the duration of the game.

New Years Eve

New Years Eve was spent playing with cousins, like every other day of our lives right now, Corbin cannot get enough of MaKenna. We celebrated the New Year at 8:00 with some random You Tube countdown. We had a toast with sparkling cider and then off to bed. It was a great New Year's Eve.
After the kids were asleep, Kent hung out in his car while Matt A., Meri, Matt and I played games.
We missed the countdown because of our intense game of scrabble. We realized it was the new year because of the loud fireworks show out our back window. Happy 2015!
