Today was Van's blessing in sacrament meeting. We only invited the grandparents because of the attendance restrictions. Matt gave a beautiful blessing. Van was impressively good, especially for how sad he has been the last couple days. It was very different because we didn't do anything after either. It was very low key, but a great day.

Christmas
Christmas was wonderful this year, as always. Maggie woke up around 4 and I am not sure if she ever went back to sleep. When Corbin and Kent woke up those three came up to get their stockings. Then they surveyed the presents for a while. We had to wake Claire up because the older kids were super excited. We took our traditional family picture before we started gifts.
The kids were all super cute and excited. Corbin, Maggie, and Kent all got new airsoft guns. Claire got a new baby and carseat from Santa. Van was just pretty chill through all of it. He got some formula and wet wipes and one cool stacking toy that he probably won't use for months.
We went to Marianne's on Christmas morning. We were there for a few hours, but Claire was completely exhausted. We decided to head home for a bit before we went to my parents. I was glad we did because Claire fell asleep and Maggie ended up sick and throwing up. So we spent the rest of the afternoon just hanging around our house. She was fine the next morning.
Saturday we took the kids out to Mark's garden and set up some balloons for the kids to use their new airsoft guns. We had Beau and Kael come over too since they got new guns as well. It was pretty cold and short lived, but it was still fun.
Our turn to go to church was the Sunday after Christmas. I was super happy they had another Christmas program with music so everyone had the chance to have a Christmas program in person.
I made everyone do a picture right when we got home. It was a little contentious, but it turned out cute!
Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve was kind of nice this year because we were able to do it earlier. No one had another party to go to before this year. We ate dinner and then started into the usual. Marianne read some cute Christmas books. The kids got their new Christmas pajamas. My favorite part is when Mark talks about the real reason of Christmas and reads That Thy Alms May Be in Secret.
Apparently Kent was watching a show when we did the traditional grandkid picture, so he missed out on this one.
